Nothing like a video game reference on a Monday morning. Social Media has given everyone the chance to be supported with the click of a button. The problem is that click of a button is no longer translating into conversions where the person actually clicks through and possibly buys what you have. When I wrote this I kept wanting to change “Social Support” and “Social Sharer” or figure out a different way to say this. It felt like “Social Support” sounded like the person was being converted. Support implies that a little more than clicking a button is happening. I’ve reread it a few times and the quote still feels off. “Social Sharer” feels less than “Social Support”.
I will let it stand, but this one may get revised. I do think the explanation makes sense. I know for a fact that a lot of people will thumbs up, heart or like something without watching it or reading it. I also know that they will share it without watching or reading. At least the Sharer is creating an opportunity for the material to reach more people. All of it is important towards reaching Conversion.
