“Ask L2” is a weekly series where we answer questions about all things digital.
I’ve been a longtime fan of the work of L2. The company is a consulting firm that assists brands in understanding the digital space in marketing, retail and business. I’m sharing this because it is a constant discussion between Troy Johnson (http://www.aalbc.com) and I over how Black Bookstores can begin to regain their footing in a business that is dying. I’ve always said that Black businesses often think you owe them business as opposed to the businesses earning your business. The customer service is typically lacking and specifically with bookstores, there is a feeling that you are interrupting the workers intellectual time. Check out this post from L2 and look at how a company can begin to offset the dominance of Amazon. This chart is very informative.
