We visited the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art for homeschool day, which is a monthly program where homeschool students participate in a class session led by a docent and the then they participate in an activity led by one of the artists at the Museum. It is one of the only programs that doesn’t have a cost associated with it.
This short video shows artwork from the 2017 Mid-South Scholastic Competition. Middle and High School artists created artwork in a variety of mediums. The work was incredible and shows that this city isn’t as horrible as people make it out to be. The kids are doing incredible work and if the news focused on the good, more good would come from it.
